Focusing on Your Off-Sale/On-Sale Business
Very few law firms focus solely on Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) and liquor license law. At the California Law Office of Richard D. Warren, we have focused on this area of law since 1995. It is a difficult area of law because of complex regulations, and because of the wide variety of off-sale and on-sale businesses that exist. It may not seem like a convenience store, a brew pub, a nightclub, the local caterer and the local VFW have a lot in common, but in the area of liquor licensing — they do.
Depth of Experience ∙ Breadth of Service
Attorney Rick Warren has been practicing law for more than 30 years. Most of his early career was as a trial lawyer in the areas of business law and real estate transactions. Since 1993, he has been acting as a mediator and arbitrator and providing other neutral services.
This depth of experience enables us to provide a breadth of service to our clients.
- New businesses — we help our clients with start-up issues such as business formation, lease negotiations, use permits and much more
- First time licensing — we act as an educator as well as lawyer, so you can make informed decisions
- Licensing problems — courtroom experience and negotiation experience are both important assets that we offer if you run into a compliance issue or violation
- Protect your rights — if you feel you have been unfairly targeted by the police or local government or face an accusation by the ABC, we use our negotiation and courtroom experience to aggressively protect your rights
Attorney Referrals Welcome
Because we focus on a niche area of the law, we regularly accept referrals from other law firms. We can handle either the entire liquor licensing process, or a specific Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) process such as license transfer. We charge for out-of-pocket travel expenses but there is no charge for travel time.
Call our toll free number, 866-614-4502, or contact us online to schedule a free initial consultation. We would be happy to walk you through the process — from A to B to C.
